Storytime Craft: Q is for Quilt

The preschool storytime at the library goes through a letter of the alphabet each week starting in September. The storytime always begins with a welcome song and singing the ABCs (signing the letters too). All the books go with the theme for the week. There are random songs in between the books (occasionally there will be a related song), and it ends with a craft.

The books from this week were: Owen, Duck at the Door, and we missed the first book because we were a little late.

Materials

  • Large sheet of paper
  • Clipart
  • Glue or gluestick
  • Scissors

Instructions
Already prepared for us were: the lines drawn out on the “quilt” and photocopied clipart.

  1. Color the clipart.
  2. Cut out the clipart.
  3. Glue clipart onto the “quilt”.
  4. Decorate.

Or you can just decorate the blank piece of paper to be your own unique design. The girls were not too interested in coloring the clipart as you can see.
