Lakeshore Craft: Snowman Magnet

The girls made these snowman magnets at Lakeshore on Saturday during their free crafts time. If you have a Lakeshore near you, you should really take advantage of this service. The worker prepares everything, your kids do crafts, and you don’t have to clean up the mess.

  • Magnet strip cut in 4 pieces for 4 corners
  • Glue
  • Foam sheet 4.25″ x 2.75″
  • Cotton balls for snowman
  • Pipe cleaner for arms
  • Googly eyes
  • Other crafts materials

Already prepared for us was the foam cut to size and the magnets put on the corners.

  1. Put glue on foam.
  2. Add cotton balls to make snowman.
  3. Give the snowman eyes and other accessories.
  4. Stick on all other decor.
  5. Make sure to name your snowman. 😉

Doing these crafts with Emily has been very fun lately. She is understanding more that the materials have a purpose other than to just pour it out of the container and putting back. After we got home, she seriously carried her snowman around half the day. And when it got put up on the refrigerator, she sat and looked at it with a silly grin on her face. Melody named her snowman Strawberry. Looks like Melody’s is ready for Valentine’s Day and Emily’s is ready for St Patrick’s Day.
