Below are only some of the things we do for school. I’m not able to capture too many photos when we’re out and about since I only have so many hands. Don’t know how you moms with more kids than arms do it! The main program we’re following is Raising Rock Stars with Carisa at 1+1+1=1. Using that format to teach the letters, I use Erica at Confessions of a Homeschooler‘s Letter of the Week curriculum. Melody also loves workbooks, so we end up doing a lot of that too. You can read more about how MELODY’S ADVENTURES all started.

We did go to the puppet show at the library and help my brother decorate his tree. Melody was super duper excited about that, but we didn’t get any photos. I wish I had a working camera of my own. I haven’t even touched mine since it was broken. =( We got to do “school” with my 2yo nephew on Monday. I had a MOPS meeting and we made these nifty WASHER NECKLACES. Another enjoyable holiday storytime at the library where the girls made Santa crafts. We are looking forward to going to look at lights and having our Christmas at my sister’s house this weekend.

We have a few more things to do for RRSP and LOTW today since we didn’t do too much yesterday, so this will probably be updated later on. Enjoy your weekend!

ROCKSTAR

Board – And you can see we are working on making our printable nativity scene.

Cards – She drew a smiley face after she traced each letter.

LETTER OF THE WEEK

Afternoon Time – I figure you’re bored with photos of Melody’s head up close doing her work from the same angle every time. =p I will have to print out extra stuff in the future because Tot always comes over to do school too.

Do a Dot – Everything has been rainbow lately! =p

Here is Melody’s LETTER W PowerPoint.

OTHER FUN STUFF

Gingerbread Man Craft – My sister and BIL surprised us one night and came over to do a gingerbread man craft with the girls. At the end of the night, Melody read a bedtime story to everyone.

LIFE

Holiday Puppet Show at the Library – This was a different kind of holiday puppet show…about monsters who thought it was a Halloween show!

SISTERS

Letter L – I went to get the girls a snack one day and came back to find them like this. Melody says, “Mommy, we made a letter L.”

Sleeping Ballerinas – Being goofy after naptime.

Hidden Pictures – Melody was showing Emily where the hidden pictures were and after one time Emily was able to find the objects when I asked her!

TOT

Rolling – Emily is super duper mobile now. She loves to roll across the room, and run across the house, and climb up on anything she can climb up on. She got an owie last Friday when running too fast after Daddy. Ouch!

Thank you for stopping by my blog! Your daughters are adorable! (With two boys, I’m a tad jealous of all the pink!) My oldest son went through a rainbow phase this year, too!

  3. Awww, what fun times! 🙂 What sweet girls you have.
